Second Go.

I was not a happy camper this morning.

Every Sunday morning, my grandpa, my mom and the odd time my aunt, uncle and cousin would go out for breakfast. That changed for me however when I got my job at Tim Horton because I work every Sunday morning now. So seeing as it's the Christmas holidays, i'm able to go whenever I want! So today we decided to go.

Where we go for breakfast, is a bit out of town heading towards Dorchester. It's called Theresa's, and we go there because my grandpa enjoys the food and the waitresses. They all know him as soon as he walks in and they have little chats. I was excited for this breakfast seeing as it was the first time in a while since I've gotten to enjoy it. But it was not the experience I was hoping for.

First off, we had made a reservation. That way we could just go in and sit down at our table, because it is usually pretty busy in the morning. Apparently they didn't get our reservation, so we had no table to go to. We had to wait in line for about 10-15 minutes until somebody tended to us because it was so busy and there were hardly any waitresses. They were clearly under-staffed. This made me slightly irritated before we even sat down.

Second, where we were sitting, was not very convenient for five people. It was a booth, two people would go on each side and someone would have to sit at the end of the table. Which was my aunt, she didn't mind though, although it still kind of sucked.

Third, seeing as there were hardly any waitresses, the waitresses that were there, were stressed and in a rush to do everything. Our waitress pretty much just dropped our forks and knives on the table and rushed off to the next table. I thought it was kind of rude.

Fourth, when we had ordered our food, the waitress did not ask me what I wanted to drink, usually they do, so I was waiting for the question that was never asked. My aunt, grandpa and cousin already had there drinks and my mom just told the waitress she wanted a tea. So I figured I would just tell her that I wanted a tea as well. Too bad I couldn't though seeing as when she was finished taking my mom's order she was off on her way. That did not make me happy either.

Fifth, there was no strawberry jam or syrup on the table and I had asked our waitress for some. She forgot it. So I couldn't even begin to eat my breakfast without it. Not wanting my food to get cold, I tried going to one of the waitresses at the front to ask for some. I said, " Excuse me? " as she walked right by me and didn't even acknowledge me. I was really getting fed up at this point. Luckily there was a bottle of syrup and some strawberry jam at the table in front of us.

And sixth, my mom's bacon wasn't as crisp as she would have liked it and sent it back asking if it could be more well done, and they completely burnt it, leading her to not be able to eat it. Her toast was burnt as well and my toast was kind of soggy.

Over-all it was a bad experience and not a good start to my day, but it did get better. :)

Mmm, I love breakfast. :)

What A Merry Christmas!

What a wonderful Christmas I had!

I wish I could have gotten on here earlier to talk about it, but I've been so busy with family and work and shopping of course! So how about I break down the days in this blog?

Friday December 24th, Christmas Eve.
To be honest, I don't really remember my Christmas Eve much now. It was almost a week ago. Oh yes! It was my families Christmas dinner at my grandparent's house! Oh and it was a delicious dinner! I had roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, baked potatoes, carrots, peas, bread and olives and it was so good. I had eaten so much that I didn't even have room for dessert!

After spending time with my family eating dinner my mom and I decided it was time to go home because we were getting tired. When we got home we decided to watch a Christmas movie together. We watched The Santa Clause 3 but we were both so tired, we fell asleep watching it! We woke up when it was over around midnight and decided to go to bed.

Saturday December 25th, Christmas.
I had woken up at 5:30 in the morning. It was way to early to wake my mom up. So I tried my best to fall back to sleep, luckily I did! 8:00 rolled around and my friends began texting me to say Merry Christmas. My mom in the room beside heard my phone going off and decided to text me as well! She said, " Merry Christmas! " and then told me to go look in my stocking to see if Santa came. With a big smile on my face I went out into the living room, grabbed my stocking, and went into her bedroom.

I was so excited to see what was inside! As I reached my hand inside to pull out my goodies I received Andes Mints, 2 Crosswords (I'm only 17 but who says I can't scratch scratch-cards?), Minni Cranberry Cream and Body Wash, A Chocolate Elf, Coconut Raffaello's, Christmas Candy Corn (Yeah!), Christmas Gummy Bears and Turtles Chocolates! I was very happy with my stocking.

My mom then looked at me and said, " Did you not see your present sitting on the couch? " I was so excited about my stocking that I didn't even see my present sitting on the couch! So I walked back out to the living room and saw a white fuzzy blanket and an Aerie bag.

There is a story behind the blanket though. I was in Wal-Mart one day with my mom grabbing some things for my grandma, and I saw this blanket. It was beige, light brown, dark brown and white and it was the softest blanket ever! I wanted to buy it so bad, but my mom told me not to because the material would come apart easily. So I didn't buy it. It was such a surprise to see an even softer blanket as my Christmas present! My mom is the best. :)

So when I looked inside of my Aerie bag there were four gift cards. Two were for Aerie and two were for American Eagle. I was a very happy girl! I then gave my mom her gift. I had gotten her a Orange Body Wash, Coconut Body Butter, Coconut Lotion and a White Sponge from The Body Shop, and of course she loved it! So far, it was a good Christmas morning.

We then gathered up the rest of the presents and headed to my grandparent's house to exchange gifts with my grandparent's and my aunt, uncle and cousin. Surprisingly, we were the first ones there! I say surprisingly because my mom is usually slow and the last one at everything! So we settled down and waited for my aunt, uncle and cousin to get there. As soon as they got there we began opening presents.

For my presents, I got my grandma a purple snuggie, a box of Pot of Gold chocolates and two Bingo scratch-cards. For my grandpa, I didn't exactly know what to buy him so I got him a box of Pot of Gold chocolates, Bridge Mix chocolate and then I had given my aunt $20 to go towards a present from all of us. For my aunt I got her a $5 gift card for Tim Horton's and a Tim Horton's Coffee Pot Ornament. For my uncle I pretty much got him the same thing, other than his ornament was a Tim Horton's Cup! Then for my cousin I got him a purple, blue, black and grey pull-over sweater from West 49. Everyone seemed to like their gifts, which was awesome.

As for me, I got a gift card for American Eagle, Strawberry Body Butter and Peppermint Hot Chocolate from my aunt, uncle and cousin, and from my grandparent's, money! Although they gave it to me in a funny way. When my aunt passed me my present from my grandparent's, it looked as if it was in the shape of a box of chocolates. So I opened it, and I could see the chocolate label, but it seemed too heavy to be a box of chocolates. When I unwrapped it, I noticed that the box was already open. So I took the lid off, and there was an ash-tray in the box with the money lying underneath it. I thought it was quite smart!

So after spending Christmas with my family it was time to head over to my boyfriends house so I could give him and his mom their Christmas presents! As soon as I got there, I was handed my stocking. And once again, I reached my hand into my stocking with a big smile on my face waiting to see what I was receiving. I got Christmas Mints, Christmas Coca-Cola, Smarties, A purple toothbrush, Skor Chocolate Bar, A Snowman Pen, Rieson Chocolates, A Snowflake Necklaces that lights up, A Kinder Egg and many other chocolates!

I then gave my boyfriends mom her Christmas present. I had gotten her a Christmas Collection from Bath and Body Works of Vanilla Bean Noel Cream, Candy Apple Spray and Snow Kissed Berry Body Wash. She loved it! I had also gotten her a red Tim Horton's Christmas mug that she loved as well seeing as her favourite colour is red.

After I gave her her Christmas presents I opened up mine! She had gotten me a Cherry Blossom Bath and Body set, A Sponge Set, A Pig Plushie where you get to name your own star, A grey sweater, Grey leggings, Pink Snowflake PJ Pants, A grey tank top and a pink tank top, Black flats with roses on them, Polka-Dot Socks, Undies and Farm Animal Sprinkles! Although the grey sweater was too small and I already had the grey tank top! So they had to be exchanged.

It was then time for Alex to open up his present! I had gotten him a plaid shirt and a stripped pull-over sweater from West 49 and Axe deoderant and body spray. Sadly, both of the shirts were too small and had to be exchanged. But he liked it! For Christmas he had given me his camera! A Canon Rebel xs and I LOVE it! Best Christmas present ever! :) I know it may seem like, " He got you a camera and all you got him was clothes? " Earlier in November I bought him the World Of Warcraft extension as an early Christmas present and I have yet to buy him something else! He doesn't quite know what he wants yet so I will have to wait and see!

For the rest of the night, I just relaxed. :)

This is what I got for Christmas from my family. :)

Sunday December 26th, Boxing Day.
I didn't really have much of a boxing day! I had to work 8-3, buses were running every hour and the mall was only open till 6. But I wasn't gonna let that stop me from going to the mall! I hopped on the bus right after work and headed for the mall! I had gotten there a bit after 4 but that was all the time I needed. The mall was PACKED. I didn't think it would have been as busy seeing as I was arriving at 4, but I was wrong.

My over-all shopping experience was a success! I spent half of my mom's gift at Aerie and got a white tank top and a navy tank top and peppermint lip gloss which tastes like candy cane and feels like it too! The first time I applied it to my lips, it burned! But had a cooling sensation at the same time, it was different! Also at Garage I spent a bit more than half of my grandparent's Christmas money. I had gotten a beige cardigan, a red v-neck tshirt, a blue tshirt with pink roses on it and a black bandeau. That was all I had time to shop for!

After the mall I headed back to my boyfriends house. I was exhausted and just wanted to go to bed!

These are the clothes I got from Boxing Day shopping!
All bought with the money from my grandparent's. :)

So that was my Christmas! And I would say it was the best Christmas yet. Also I would like to mention that I did spend the rest of my grandparent's money. With that I got a charcoal sweater from Off The Wall and an Owl necklace from Bootlegger. :)

Jingle Bells!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve.

Oh my goodness how the time has just flown by! Since Sunday there has been some nice times, and some crazy times!

On Monday I hung out with my friend Cara. I met her through work and it's great to have her as a co-worker and as a friend. We met downtown at the Covent Garden Market for some hot chocolate and Christmas cupcakes! Although when we went to buy the cupcakes, there weren't any Christmas ones! The closest they had was a chocolate cupcake, with chocolate icing, and red and green candies on top of it. Not really festive in my opinion, I was expecting cupcakes with marshmallow snowmen on them or reindeer with pretzel antlers! So we each got a Cookies n' Cream cupcake.

The cupcake was delicious and the hot chocolate was soothing. Although the amount of icing on the cupcake was bigger than the actual cake part! I could only eat half of it and had to take the icing off the top so I could fit it in my mouth! We had good talks and a relaxing time. Before we left, I figured that we should grab a snack for when we got back to her house, seeing as we were going to watch Elf. It was a tough choice between a fruit salad and a veggie tray, but the veggie tray won! And it was so refreshing!

When the movie was over, I had to head out. It was already dark outside and I had to bus home. I'm not good in the dark, I get freaked out easily. And I had to take two buses to get to his house. Luckily, my one bus goes to my aunt's house and she agreed to drive me the rest of the way seeing as his house is a two minute drive from hers. All in all, it was a good day. :)

Yesterday was Tuesday, and I had to babysit my cousin. We played Spongebob LIFE while listening to Christmas music and then made Christmas mittens made out of paper. We traced our hands in the shape of mittens and then put our own designs on them. One was his, one was mine, and then I did another trace of my hand for both of us to colour. We didn't get around to it but at the end we were going to put a hole punch in each one and string them together to be hung.

After doing our craft and eating lunch, we decided to go outside and build a snowman. Everything was good, we were getting the snowman built up pretty quickly! When we were finally finished, we went to head inside to grab some accessories for it. Although we did not get inside because we locked ourselves out of the house. Yep. So we walked down to his friends house to use their phone to call his dad, (my uncle). Luckily, he was able to leave work for a bit and let us back into the house. After all the hastle, we didn't get around to finishing our snowman either. Instead we made hot chocolate and watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation until my aunt got home.

After such a hectic day, I was glad I got to sleep in and relax today! In a bit I will be going out with my mom to Swiss Chalet for there Festive Meal, and boy am I hungry! :)

This is one of my shot's from Victoria Park.
The park is filled with Christmas lights,
from Snowmen, to Christmas Tree's and Reindeer and so much more!
This shot of bells, is probably one of my best shot's. :)

The Good Old Hockey Game.

Five days till Christmas!

The excitement continues to grow! And so does the spirit at Tim Horton's!

I didn't get around to updating my blog yesterday, so I will do it right now! Yesterday was my usual Sunday schedule 8-3, and I was excited for this shift, only because I was bringing in my Secret Santa gift. I had picked my friend Cara out of the hat to buy a present for, and I had gotten her a necklace from American Eagle. It was a simple necklace, just a little circle on a silver chain, but inside the circle was her Zodiac Sign, and she loved it! I was so happy.

Although it may seem that everything was starting out perfectly fine, the day got more and more hectic! To just name off some of the events that occurred, milk was mistakenly put into the cream dispenser and we had no way of removing it. A cup of cream was knocked all over the counter and the coffee machine kept over-flowing. Our headsets kept cutting out while taking orders and our hot chocolate machine was stuck causing hot water to continuously pour out of the machine. Hectic day? I think so! But other than that, it wasn't terrible!

When I got home from work, my mom had told me that my cousin was having a hockey game at 4:30. I hadn't been to one of his hockey games this year yet due to the fact that I had been working. So I figured this would be a perfect time to go! So I quickly showered and got ready to go, grabbed my camera and out the door we went!

When we got there, the first period of the game was already over. I didn't think of it as a big deal seeing as during the first period the kids were pretty much warming up. It was a pretty interesting game, I had gotten a few shots of my cousin but most of them turned out blurry. I kept them anyways seeing as there the only action shots I got. Most of the clear shots were of just him standing on the ice waiting for the puck to be dropped. Besides the fact that most of my photo's were blurry, they won there game!

By the end, I was exhausted. When I got back to my boyfriends house, I pretty much passed out!

Our Last Goodbye.

It's the Christmas Holidays!

And boy am I excited! I have a week ahead of me filled with events! Some of it involving work, some of it involving babysitting, and then some of it involving friends and family. :) Needless to say I have something to do every day and i'm too excited! :D Also, tonight i'm going to Victoria Park to see the Christmas lights with my mom. I've been wanting to do so for days now and I finally get to go!

I had went last year with my mom too to take photo's. This year i'm extra excited to shoot photo's seeing as I have a better camera to shoot them with! Although i'm not too excited about all the snow. Last year you could walk around and still see the grass peeking up from the ground! I don't think we will be seeing grass for another month or two. I'm gonna have to bundle up nice and warm for this!

So yesterday was the last day of school for the year 2010, and I'd say it was a very good day. To start, first period classes got to watch Elf in the auditorium. Seeing as I no longer have a first period class and neither does my friend Katie, we decided to go together. It was a very relaxing first period.

It was then time to head to second period, where we got to eat pancakes! I didn't end up going to my second period class, I went to my friends seeing as I don't really talk to anybody in my class, and it would be very boring to eat pancakes by myself. But oh boy were those pancakes delicious! We got two each and had a choice between an orange or banana, and then a choice between orange juice and fruit punch and then we got a choice of weather we wanted to put maple syrup, cinnamon, icing sugar, whipped cream or strawberries on our pancakes! For myself, I picked neither the orange or the banana, grabbed an orange juice and topped my pancakes off with maple syrup, cinnamon and strawberries. So good!

After those pancakes I was stuffed! I was not hungry for lunch. So i just hung out with my friends and we exchanged gifts from our Secret Santa! My friend Tyler got dog slippers and my friend Mack got Bop-it. My friend Jillian got a Felix wallet, a pen, two magnets and a bracelet and my friend Susie got cream and body spray. Also my friend Jessica got a $25 gift card for Garage and I myself got a picture frame! Although I was sad because I couldn't bring it home for the holidays because I wasn't able to get a ride after school. But it's safe in my locker!

Fourth and fifth period aren't really worth talking about, seeing as we didn't do anything special. Fifth period I had to do my presentation on the iPod, which actually went better than I thought it would have. Then it was time to leave and let the holidays begin!

And what a great way to begin them with dinner and shopping with my amazing boyfriend. :) It was our 10 months yesterday, I love you. ♥

This is my friend Kristina. She got me this frame for Christmas. Thank you. :)

O' Christmas Tree.

It's been a while!

I haven't had the energy to write a blog in a while. I've been too tired with catching up on homework and just tired in general. My lack of energy has been a bit low lately, but guess what, we're having another snow day! Actually, technically it wouldn't be for me. TVDSB has called bus cancellations for certain high schools and have shut them down. My school however is still open. For what reason I don't know but if Universities and Colleges are closed down, I think high schools should have been too. Also seeing as LTC was delayed as well. So I just decided to stay home, and i'm glad I did. Apparently only four people were in my International Business class and no teachers were assigning any work due to the number of students that actually went to school.

So other than that, I don't have anything new and exciting to talk about! However! I have uploaded some photo's of the Christmas Tree, so here they are! :)

Let It Snow!

TODAY IS A SNOW DAY! :D

And what did I do all day? Relax. :) So seeing as I don't have anything to write about, i'm going to take this opportunity to post some of my holiday photo's! :)

Christmas Pedicure. Snowman & Snowflake.

My Special Candy Cane Hot Chocolate.

My Mini Christmas Tree.
All of my ornaments on this tree were made by Public School students.
A couple were actually made by me when I was in Public School.
And there is one special ornament,
a Tim Horton's Coffee Pot. :)

Lucky.

I feel refreshed. :)

A lot has gotten lifted off of my back this week. Going back to my last three blogs you'll see that I was having a lot of conflicts in my Dance Class. That is no longer going to happen seeing as I am now dropping that class. It only took one little incident to happen to make me realize that it was not the environment I wanted to be surrounded in. Don't get me wrong, I love to dance, and I love watching dance. But it's no fun when you feel as if you're in a competition with everyone around you. I do wish I could still be dancing, but I think it was best to leave, no more stress and frustration.

On a brighter note! Last night was my work Christmas dinner at The Harmony House! I had a pretty fun time with my boyfriend, my friend and co-worker Cara, my manager and a couple of other people belonging to the Tim Horton's crew. We had lot's of laughs and ate yummy food! Also it was  an exciting night for me, seeing as every team member on our staff received a cash reward for being the top finalist in the Tim Horton's Always Fresh Competition. We placed second in the whole region so we received some money for our hard work! I got $48! Also on top of that, we had a draw for money and my name was called and I pulled out $25! I had a very good night. :) And not to mention I received a pin for being a member of the staff for a year. :)

That as well adds onto how refreshed I feel. An extra $75 in my pocket is of great help seeing as that is what I owe my mother and that is what doesn't have to come out of my next pay. :) I am almost done my Christmas shopping so there won't be much more money needing to be spent! It's a big relief that i'm almost finished.

And one last thing, TWENTY-THREE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS! :D
Oh Christmas Tree.
